10th Mr Khamba Bodybuilding Contest : L Rishikanta clinches Mr Khamba title, Olenjit wins junior men's title

Imphal, August 13 2024: Imphal West's Laitonjam Rishikanta was adjudged best in the senior men's bodybuilding competition to claim Mr Khamba title in the 1 Oth Mr Khamba Inter District State Level Bodybuilding Contest 2024 organised jointly by the All Manipur Body Builders Association and Body Builders' Association of Imphal West.

The contest dedicated to the martyrs of Manipur was held at Naoremthong Laishram Khulem Leikai community hall in line with the Patriots' Day observation.

As many as 52 athletes from across 6 districts competed for top honours in bodybuilding competition held in four categories junior, senior, masters' and physically challenged; men's sports physique and women's model physique competitions.

In the senior men's bodybuilding competition, L Rishikanta sealed the top spot as compatriot Thokchom Gyanendra Meetei and Imphal East's Md Fajirul Haque finished second and third.

Maibam Robart of Kakching and RK Sanathoi of Imphal West finished fourth and fifth in the competition.

Mayanglambam Olenjit of Kakching in the meantime claimed the junior men's bodybuilding title finishing ahead of Jackson Khumbongmayum of Imphal West and Yuvraj Sonar of Ukhrul.

Thokchom Yaisana of Imphal East and Rockyson Yanglem of Imphal West finished fourth and fifth in this category.

Naorem Jayenta of Thoubal was in the meantime declared best in the physically challenged category as Longjam Boinao of Bishnupur, Potsangbam Bonny of Imphal West and Maibam Bharatsemba of Thoubal sealed top three places in the masters category.

L Modhu of Imphal East and Sanasam Ranjan of Imphal East were declared fourth and fifth in the masters' competition.

Hawaibam Surdas of Imphal West in the meantime topped the men's sports physique competition as Warshim Chesam of Imphal East and Leimapokpam Abhishek of Thoubal secured the second and third places.

Kakching's Naorem Fredy and Ksh Lamyanba were placed fourth and fifth in the same competition.

Meanwhile, Zenika Naorem of Imphal West claimed the women's model physique title as Leishimi Raihing of Ukhrul and Alle Pamei of Imphal East sealed the second and third spots.

Ukhrul's Chingri Khapai Shimrah and Elika Vashi also made it to the top five places.
