Laiphrakpam Bankimchandra seals Mr Imphal West title

Imphal, August 12 2026: Laiphrakpam Bankimchandra Singh of Friend Fitness Gym, Tera was crowned the Mr Imphal West at the 21st Mr Imphal West District Level Bodybuilding Contest 2026 .

The contest was organised by the Body Builders Association of Imphal West under the aegis of All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA) at National Game Village Zone - IV, Public Ground, Langol today.

31 athletes of the district competed in Men's Sports Physique, Women's Model Physique, Junior and Senior bodybuilding events, said AMBBA in a press release.

Laiphrakpam Bankimchandra seals Mr Imphal West title

In the senior men's bodybuilding event, Laiphrakpam Bankimchandra Singh emerged on top as Rockyson Yanglem of TAT Gym, Yumnam Huidrom sealed the second place and Longjam Eillison Meitei of Body Perfect Fitness Gym, Patsoi secured the third place.

Jenchui Rongmei of Liangtuang Gym, Kamei Foundation, Neikanlong Village, Thangmeiband was placed 4th in the segment as Oinam Sanjoy Singh of Emoinu Gym, Wangoi finished fifth.

Rockyson Yanglem however walked away with the junior men's bodybuilding title followed by Longjam Eillison Meitei and Nongmaithem Maheshkumar of ID Gym, Nambol in the second and third place.

Arvinchandra Irom of Manipur Fitness Club, Konung Mamang and Khuyenthem Akash Singh of TAT Gym, Yumnam Hueidrom meanwhile secured the fourth and fifth places.

L Cherishma wins Women's Model Physique title Leimapokpam Cherishma Devi of United Gym, Naoremthong clinched the women's model physique title at the district event as Rajkumari Ranjana Devi of Sayol Gym, Mayang Imphal finished runners up.

Thokchom Ronex on top in Men's Sports Physique.

Thokchom Ronex of United Gym, Naoremthong meanwhile earned the Men's Sports Physique title as Rennedy Naorem of LA Son's, Thangmeiband secured the 2nd place and Karam Thoungamba of The House of Natty, Chajing finished 3rd .

Meinam Devadutta Singh of LA Son's, Thangmeiband and Ngangbam Lemngan Meitei of Body Perfect Fitness Gym, Patsoi made 4-5 finish in the category.
