State Kho-Kho: SENDYC boys, IEKKA girls emerge champions

Imphal, September 11 2024:
SENDYC (Salungpham) and IEKKA (Imphal East) clinched titles at the 33rd Manipur State Sub Junior Kho-Kho Championship 2024, which wrapped up at on Wednesday at Indoor Stadium, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai.
In the boys' final, SENDYC pulled off a 20-18 victory over SCEASDP (Heirok) to get their hands on the winners' trophy.
IEKKA, on the other hand, had little trouble against BASU (Khangabok) in the girls' summit clash.
The Imphal East girls romped past their Khangabok opponents 10-5 for their title.
IEKKA's N Elli Devi was named the best player of the girls' event as SENDYC's P Nongleiba Meitei received the boys' best player award.
The closing event was attended by Dr Ak Jhalajit Singh, retired DIG Manipur Police, M Mani Singh, president Thoubal District Olympic Association, Kh Rajmohon Singh, former Zilla Parishad member (Khangabok), Ph Hermani Singh, former Zilla Parishad member (Charangpat), M Rachandra Singh, vice-president Manipur Olympic Association, and K Michael Singh, former AD SAI, as chief guest, president and guests of honour, respectively.
