2nd Imphal East District Fencing Championship : KHFA amass 11 medals on Day 2 to intensify title campaign

Imphal, June 11 2024: KHFA, Khongman Zone-4 secured as many as 11 medals including 3 gold on Day 2 to intensify their title campaign at the 2nd Imphal East District Fencing Championship-2024 at Khuman Lampak Fencing Hall.

With today's medals, they have amassed 6 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze medals to occupy pole position in the medal tally while KSDO are trailing in the second spot with 3 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals.

KHFA rode on N Joshlin, Deviya N and N Lanchenba to secure the gold medals today to top.

N Joshlin sealed the gold medal in the sub-junior girls' foil event beating compatriot Ch Puspa while Deviya bagged her gold medal in the cadet girls' epee event defeating Th Anjita of KSDO, Longpal in the final today.

N Lanchenba meanwhile bagged the other gold medal in the cadet boys' sabre competition defeating K Jeriyul of YDO, Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai in the final bout.

YDO too collected two gold medals with T Mangalleibi topping the cadet girls' foil competition by defeating M Geetarani of KHFA in the final and with P Ambika defeating Priya N of KHFA in the cadet girls' sabre final.

In the cadet boys foil competition, Th Rajiv of OLA bagged the gold medal defeating Lamyanba K of POLOI in the final today while the sub-junior boys' epee title went to T Kadamba of KSDO who defeated P Arjun of KHFA in the final.

MIISHIKHOL's Ng Mangangba meanwhile claimed the sub-junior boys sabre gold medal defeating Th Keshorjit of KSDO in the final.
