IW 1st Divn Football : SJC thrash YAC 3-0 to cement their position on top

Imphal, October 10 2025: SJC, Sangaithel Road cruised to their fourth win on the trot in the ongoing 30th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1 st Division Football League with a 3-0 thrashing of YAC, Yaiskul today at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi.

Indra took centre-stage in SJC's 3-0 win today scoring twice as Dhiren scored the other goal.

SJC, having crushed KAN 6-1, thumped SKYC 2-0 and routed BMSC 4-0 in the previous matches, carried forward their fine form to dominate the possession and scoring chances right from the beginning.

Although YAC stood firm and overcame early skirmishes, Indra breached their defence and put SJC ahead after 23 minutes with a brilliant goal before Dhiren made it 2-0 after 42 minutes.

Indra then netted the winner in the 65th minute as YAC, who are also yet to register a win, kept struggling to fend off SJC charges throughout the game.

With the win, SJC go atop league table comfortably on 12 points after 4 matches and maintain a healthy 3 point lead against SOYO, who are also unbeaten in five matches (2 wins and 3 draws).

Earlier in the day, KAN, Kadangband ended their winless run with 2-0 win over BMSC, Taobungkhok in their fourth encounter.

Despite chances, the two sides entered into the break goalless until Jenny broke the deadlock in the 47th minute to give KAN the headway before Binode sealed the victory in the 80th minute.
