2nd RK Madhuryyajit Thang-Ta Trophy : Meitei Nongsha Thang-Ta crowned team champions, Thang-Ta Maheikol finish runners up

Imphal, October 09 2025: Meitei Nongsha Thang-Ta (MNTT) team from Heirok lifted the 2nd RK Madhuryyajit Thang-Ta Trophy as Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom finished team runners up.

MNTT amassed 29.1 points off 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals to seal the title of the competition organised by Huyel Langion Thang-Ta Association, Manipur and Apunba Khorirolgi Malemgi Lup at late Kh ongbi Nupimacha Devi community hall.

Yumnam Huidrom and Thiyam Leishangkhong.

Thang-Ta Maheikol (TTM) meanwhile secured 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals to amass 23.3 points and finish team runners up.

As many as 65 boys and 44 girls from 22 Thang-Ta units participated in the two-day competition.

Last day highlight

E Jetly of MNTT, Heirok sealed the junior boys' Thang-Haiba gold as S Malemnganba of PAHULASI, Mayaikoibi and Johny Salam of HULA Sindamsang, Keishamthong settled for the silver and the bronze medal.

Athokpam Milky in the meantime won the junior girls' Thang-Haiba gold while B Netree Shanna of MLKTTA, Uchekon and Kh Debeshowri of LTA, Khurai Kongpal Sajor Leikai finished second and third.

Ch Jenan of TTM, S Suraj of MNTT and Abinash Yanglem of UHLA, Samurou meanwhile made the podium finish in the junior boys' Thanglon competition as Th Linda of Cultural Research Training, Heirok topped the junior girls' Thanglon event followed by MNTT's M Pinky and BDHLTTA's Gaitri Laishram.

A David of TTM meanwhile claimed the Khonglon-Khutlon gold for junior boys as E Thasana of MNTT sealed the girls' gold medal.

The day also saw N Urejis of LTA securing junior boys' -48 kg category Phunaba Ama gold medal by defeating Yumnam Wangthoiba of MMAA, Moirangkampu in the final as compatriot Ch Poireiton bagged the -52 kg category gold medal by defeating L Rajesh o.MNTT.

T Arbina of IKTCCA, Moidangpok on the other hand won the junior girls' -44 kg category Phunaba Anishuba gold medal by getting better of O Jina of BDHLTA, Kakyai in the final as M Thajamanbi of PAHULASI fetched the -48 kg category gold by defeating H Lanchenbi of BDHLTA .
