Cadet Tatam Taki of Tagore House won the Sainik School Inter House Cross Country Competition held this morning with a timing of 40.11 minutes to complete the course.
Cadet Khangamkha of Raman House and Cadet Hage sera of Shivaji House respectively secured the second and third position as Raman House wrested the overall champion's title with 241 points followed by Netaji House as the runners-up with a tally of 216 points.
The competition was flagged off by the School's Principal Group Captain Surinder Singh with 18cadets belonging to the States of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura and Mizoram and the neighbouring country Bhutan participating in the competition.
The competition course of about 8 kilometres covered Heingang bridge along the Imphal-Pangei road, heingang foothills, Pangei Nepali Basti, Haotal village and culminated at the institute's football ground which was also the starting point, informed a press release issued by PIB (Defence Wing).
