Imphal, September 07 2025: T Nishita, Ng Sonibala, Maibam Ritina, Ch Jenifer, Ng Ballerina, H Gitanjali, L Zelina and N Monalisha secured gold medals in the ASMITA Weightlifting League hosted by SAI-NERC, Takyelpat, Imphal.

T Nishita of SWC secured the 44 kg category gold medal by recording a 100 kg lift, 43 in snatch and 57 in jerk.

She was followed by L Soma Devi of SWC who posted 84 kg lift (38 in snatch and 46 in jerk) and L Anjalai of MYA who managed 23 kg in snatch and 29 kg in jerk.

Ng Sonibala of TPYPA in the meantime completed 95 kg finish, 41 in snatch and 54 in jerk to seal the 48 kg category gold as P Arish of WSC secured silver with 80 kg finish (35 in snatch and 45 in jerk) and Kh Linthoinganbi of MYA settled for bronze medal with 65 kg finish (28 in snatch and 37 in jerk).

Ritina in the meantime clinched a gold medal for KYDC by recording a total lift of 140 kg (63 in snatch and 77 in jerk) as L Milku of UC posted 130 kg finish (60 in snatch and 70 in jerk) to earn the silver and Ch Luxmi of SWC won the bronze with a total lift of 118 kg (53 in snatch and 65 in jerk).

Ch Jennifer of SCSWC on the other hand claimed the 58 kg category title with a total lift of 133 kg (63 in snatch and 70 in jerk) as T Bomika of THAU sealed the silver medal with an 85 kg finish (35 in snatch and 50 in jerk) and H Dineshwori of TPYPA bagged the bronze medal with an 83 kg finish (40 in snatch and 43 in jerk).

Ng Ballerina of TPYPA meanwhile clinched the 63 kg category gold amassing 183 kg (80 in snatch and 103 jerk) as S Utarani of KYPC bagged the silver medal with a 155 kg finish (67 in snatch and 88 in jerk) and L Chareihan of KLYDC sealed the bronze with a 130 kg finish (60 in snatch and 73 in jerk).

The 69 kg category gold medal in the meantime went to H Gitanjali of SCSWC who posted 70 kg in snatch and 90 kg in jerk to a total finish of 160 kg.

Maibam Lamleima of KLYDC secured the silver medal in the competition by managing a total lift of 15 7 kg (68 in snatch and 89 in jerk) while Mongbijam Bishika of THAU bagged the bronze medal with a 52 kg finish.

The day also saw L Zelina of WSC fetch the 77 kg category gold with a 125 kg finish (60 in snatch and 65 in jerk) as P Roshini of SCSWC (73 kg finish) and Julie Tingpui of KYPA (57 kg finish) settled for the silver and the bronze medals.

N Monalisha of TPYPA meanwhile sealed the 86 kg category gold with a total lift of 166 kg (75 in snatch and 91 in jerk) as O Dhaneshwori of WSA (110 kg) and Tensubam Jessica of THAU (62 kg) picked up the silver and bronze medal respectively.
