Imphal, September 07, 2013: FC Khanglai wrested the title of the K Hangshing Memorial Sadar Hills Super Division football league tournament with a 2-1 victory over Mouvlai FC in its last match at Brig Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi today.

The win fetched Khanglai 13 points from five matches in the six-team competition as Ninou FC remain in second position, with a match still in hand, after a 2-2 draw with JSYC in the other match played today.

Ninou will take on KYU tomorrow to confirm its position in the league competition.

FC Khanglai rounded off its league campaign on a winning note after Lamminthang (20th) and Haojakam (52nd) scored on either side of the half as Lalemthang pulled back one for Mouvlai in the 57th. In the JSYC versus Ninou stalemate, Raja (22nd) and Thangoulen (53rd) netted for the former with Seiginmang (23rd) and Lamgouthang (30th) leading the Ninou fightback.

At Bishnupur Mini Stadium, CYC (Chinikon) rallied to defeat TYA, Thinungei 3-1 in a Group B match of the 3rd Y Tejkumar Memorial Division I football league while Lashal, Leimapokpam crushed YWO, Bishnupur in a Group A tie.
