Dekson wins high board bronze at Aquatics Nationals

Imphal, July 07 2024:
Laishram Dekson of MGMC won a bronze medal at the 40th Sub-Junior and 50th Junior National Aquatics Championship (Diving and Water Polo) 2024 which began today in Madhya Pradesh under the supervision of the Swimming Federation of India.

Dekson won the bronze medal in the Group I boys' high board competition securing 288.85 points to finish third behind Services' Rishav Das who topped with 336.55 points and Indibar Sairem who finished second with 331.10 points.
Dekson is the son of Laishram Chaoba and Laishram ongbi Bina of Yurembam Awang Leikai.
He trains under Melem Kunjeshwar, chief diving coach of Army Sports Institute.
