Imphal, October 06 2025: Manipur emerged Pool F winners in the 50th Sub-Junior Boys National Basketball Championship being underway in Dehradun.

Manipur, having overwhelmed Andhra Pradesh 101-49 and beaten Assam 81-43, continued their fine form to beat Meghalaya by 48-38 points in the final Pool F match to finish pool winners and advance to the next stage of the competition being hosted by Uttarakhand Basketball Association.

P Shriyans (8 pts) and N Lanchenba (7 pts) led the scoring today as K Anderson and T Billgates amassed 6 points apiece.

C Chitan also added 5 points on the back of a three pointer in the third quarter as T Gison and O Barun added 4 points apiece and P Anshuman, Chongtham Eddie, A Nelson and S Bronson contributed 2 points apiece.

Shawn GK and S Menlambha meanwhile led the scoring for Meghalaya contributing 12 points apiece while Ryamsal SS and Carrick JW added 6 points apiece and Patti DM added 2 points.

Manipur had a positive start today and led the first quarter 17-6 before leading 31-14 at halfway mark.

Manipur raced to 48-20 lead after three quarters before Meghalaya produced a valiant fightback in the final period to add 18 points.
