MRA, MNCA mourn demise of Sougaijam Satyabrata

Condolences poured in over the demise of Sougaijam Satyabrata on September 30 last.
In a condolence note, the Manipur Rifle Association (MRA) expressed profound sorrow and deep sadness over the passing away of a former advisor to the association, who was also a former president of the Imphal West District Rifle Association and former team coach and manager.

He was a respected and dedicated personality in the field of shooting sports, MRA said while adding that his invaluable contributions and service will always be remembered.
His dedication, leadership, guidance, and contributions to the shooting fraternity have left a lasting legacy, it said while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones.
It also prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
The Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) also joined in mourning the passing of its former secretary and one of its founding members.
Satyabrata was a pioneer of the association, whose vision, commitment, and dedicated service played a significant role in laying the foundation of organised cricket in Manipur, MNCA said in a condolence note.
His invaluable contribution during the association's formative years will remain an enduring part of its history and will always be remembered with deep respect, it said.
As a mark of respect and in honour of his memory, a two minute silence was observed at the MNCA office at Luwangsangbam under the leadership of the association president and the MNCA flag was flown at half mast for the day, it said.
MNCA also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty grants them strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
May his departed soul rest in eternal peace, it prayed.
