YOSC beat DSWC 22-6 in 15th State Junior Women's Basketball Championship opener

YOSC, Khurai beat DSWC, Nahabam by 22-6 points in the opening match of the 15 th State Junior Women's Basketball Championship this afternoon at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court.
L Tutu starred in YOSC's big win contributing 12 points alone including two triples as A Angelina and M Supriya added 4 points apiece and L Tulika added two points.
Laizza in the meantime scored two doubles for DSWC and Krishina scored a double to amass 6 points for the team.
Three teams - DSWC, YOSC and ESU are taking part in the women's competition.
Earlier in the opening match of the 38th Sub-Junior Boys Championship held this morning, ESU kicked off their group campaign (Group A) with a 49-38 win over YOSC.
Mangalsana produced a stellar scoring performance to add highest 21 for ESU including a triple as Geetchandra (12 pts) and Anshuman (8 pts) contributed another bulk of 20 points to set up the big win.
Dehriz meanwhile added 4 points for the team as Broson and Salai added 2 points apiece.
Meanwhile, Chitan added highest 14 points for YOSC followed by Sharepa on 10 points and Chitravash and bablu with 4 points apiece.
Telheiba in the meantime secured 3 points as Chingkheingakpa (2 pts) and Dylan (1 pts) added another 3 points.
BDBA beat YOSC 49-44 in Junior Men's Group B opener
BDBA, Bishnupurin the meantime kicked off their Group B campaign with a 49-44 win over YOSC, Khurai this evening despite A Sasom's leading 22 points for the Khurai team.
Kh Satyason led the scoring for BDBA making the highest 14 points while L Shangkerson and M Sendick added 10 and 9 points respectively.
L Denish meanwhile added 7 points including a triple as Ph Inunganba scored the same points.
T Shashikanta also added points to the team's tally.
A Sasom on the other hand led from the front for YOSC adding 22 points alone followed by N Ronaldo on 11 points.
L Laba and Th Biranjan also added 4 points apiece as W Lanchenba added 2 points and L Lanchenba added one point.
Meanwhile in the Group A match staged later in the evening, ESU, Wangkhei pulled off a 37-21 win over TDBA, Thoubal.
Langonba 10 points, Kenedy 8 points, Milkan 6 points and Satish 5 points led the scoring for ESU today as Mangai and Satcharaj scored three points apiece and Kaku added two points.
Meanwhile, Y Sachindevkumar top-scored with 11 points for TDBA as N Arbin 5 points, N Jonthan 4 points and L Biyas 1 point followed suit.
