4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy : PTRC breeze past Al-Ameen by 10 wickets

Imphal, March 04 2025: PTRC, Patsoi Part IV trounced Al-Ameen by 10 wickets for their third win in four matches and cemented their position on top of the 4th Senior Women's One Day Trophy table.

PTRC opted to field first after winning the toss at Kongba Dhobi Lampak and restricted Al-Ameen to 64 runs for 9 wickets in 35 overs before cruising to the target in 9.4 overs without any loss.

Put in to bat first, Al-Ameen got off to a stuttering start losing 3 wickets for 32 runs in 17.3 overs before Linthoi (13 not out off 92 balls) Khulem and Najiya Begum (18 off 30 balls) added 27 runs for the fourth wicket to take their team past the 50-run mark.

Najiya's departured however marked the turning point as they team could added 5 more runs in 9 overs to end the innings at 64 as Mangsatabam Chingkheileima swept the 6th, 7th and 8 wickets towards the end to finish with the best bowling figures of 3/5 in 7 overs after Kiranbala Palujam picked the 4th and 5th wickets to return with the haul of 2/10 in 7 overs.

Laitonjam Tolika (1/6 in 3 overs), Laitonjam Benita (1/9 in 4 overs) and Koijam Ranjita (1/1 in 6 overs) were also among the wickets for PTRC before Ranjita 39 off 35 (8) and Chingkheileima 18 off 23 (3 fours) produced an unbeaten first wicket partnership to steer PTRC to the target.

K Ranjita who starred with both the ball and the bat was adjudged player of the match.
