PBBPTC take commanding lead as 13th State Level Benchpress Championship kicks off

Imphal, January 04 2025: PBBPTC took a commanding lead by amassing 99 points to their tally as the 13th State Level SubJunior, Junior, Senior and Masters Benchpress Championship 2024 kicked off today at Sega Road, Takhellambam Leikai under the aegis of the All Manipur Powerlifting Association.

Kangjam Sen of LYS The Gym lifted 35 kg to seal highest 12 points in the sub-junior boys' 53 kg competition followed by Ningthoujam Niraj (9 pts) and RK Sohan (8 pts) of PBBPTC.

Meanwhile RK Kaimon of Lys The Gym emerged topper in the junior boys' 53 kg event securing 12 points by completing 55 kg lift as PBBPTC's Chingakham England and S Rocky bagged 9 and 8 points to finish second and third.

Maibam Prasant and N Malemnganba of Lys The Gym sealed the 59 kg subjunior boys top two positions securing 12 and 9 points respectively.

Irikhomba Elangbam of PBBPTC finished first in the junior boys' 59 kg event securing 12 points with 82.5 kg lift as compatriots Ng Maniton (60 kg) and RK Victor (50 kg) finished second and third.

M Leikhomba of T Fit Gym lifted 100 kg to finish first in the sub-junior boys' 66 kg event as Takhellambam Ribrosan of World Gym (65 kg) and Ningthoujam Rahul Singh of PBBPTC (50 kg) finished second and third.

In the junior boys' 66 kg category event, Thokchom Bidyabuson of PBBPTC finished first with 112.5 kg lift as Devson Kangjam of Lys The Gym (75 kg) and Janan Thingujam of PBBPTC (45 kg) finished second and third.

Richard Elangbam of PBBPTC meanwhile topped the sub-junior boys' 74 kg category event with a 92.5 kg lift as N Chourjit of U Fitness (80 kg) and N Vicky of PBBPTC (60 kg) finished second and third.
