Imphal, June 30:
Even though Manipur lost to runners-up Punjab in the quarter final stage of the 34th St Joseph TNHA Junior National Hockey Championship held at Chennai, two players of the State won recognition for the their individual exploits in the competition that concluded today.
According to information received here, M Rinas was adjudged �best goalkeeper� carrying a cash award of Rs 10,000 while his team-mate L Joychandra was declared �best promising player� of the championship which included a cash incentive of Rs 5000.
The final match between Air India and Punjab was won by the former 5-0.
