Inter-college volleyball tournament begins

Imphal, October 22 2024: Nine matches were decided on the first day of the O Ibeton Devi Memorial Manipur University Inter College Volley Tournament 2024 for men and women at Thambal Marik College, Oinam.

In the men's competition, Maharaj Budhachandra College, Standard College, Imphal College, Don Bosco Maram, Thambal Marik College and Imphal College all prevailed in straight sets (3-0) against their respective opponents, while Mayai Lambi College received a walkover.

In the women's event, Modern College beat Imphal College 25-21 25-21 25-16, Standard College outclassed Thambal Marik College 25-16 25-9 25-9 and Nambol L Sanoi College secured a commanding 25-5 25-7 25-8 win over MIT.
