MTFC romp as TDC, FCL split pts in Panthoibi Trophy

Imphal, January 22 2025: MTFC eased past Pumlen FC 4-1 in the 2nd Ima Panthoibi Trophy 2025 at Thounaojam playground, Kakching, on Wednesday.

Chinglen found the breakthrough for MTFC in the 10th minute, but Pumlen FC responded through Thouba who netted the leveller in the 19th minute.

Bijoy restored MTFC's lead in the 25+lst minute as Premchan scored their third goal in the 30th minute before Bijoy collected his second goal in the 39th minute to ultimately close out the game.

In the other match, TDC and FC Lamjao settled for a 1-1 draw.

Raju put TDC in front in the 35th minute, but Tomba drew level for FC Lamjao in the 46th minute.

With neither side able to break the deadlock, the squads had to settle for a point each.
