Bishnupur, March 09 2025: A 15-day non-residential boxing training camp and competition, organised by Lamjing Makhada Khoijuman Apunba Cha-okhat Thourang Lup Khoijuman under the aegis of the Bishnupur District Amateur Boxing Association, commenced on Sunday at Khoijuman Bazar Community Hall in Bishnupur.

The opening ceremony was graced by N Kunkarani Devi, Arjuna Award recipient and CRPF Commandant, as the chief guest.

L Dhitta Singh, president Khoijuman Apunba Chaokhat Thourang Lup, presided over the event.

Guests of Honour included L Sarita Devi, Arjuna Awardee and SP (Sports), M Ramani Chanu, centre-in-charge SAI STC Imphal, and L Sunil Singh, secretary Bishnupur District Amateur Boxing Association.

The camp-cum-competition has drawn participation from over 200 boxers across the district, offering intensive training alongside competitive bouts.
