Sagolband MLA felicitates TRAU team

Imphal, July 28 2025: A reception ceremony was held on Sunday at the private residence of Sagolband MLA RK Imo Singh, to felicitate players and officials of Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) on their recent achievements at the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy 2024-25 and 5th MNCA U-16 Boys' Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2024-25.A release issued by the MLA's office informed that the felicitation ceremony was attended by TRAU president Jogeshchandra Haobijam, secretary T Phulen Meitei and Ward No 7 corporator RK Jiten Singh, along with club officials, team members, and well-wishers.

MLA RK Imo congratulated the players for their inspiring performance, bringing laurels to TRAU as well as people of Sagolband.

He also encouraged the players to maintain discipline, emphasising that discipline and teamwork are vital for success in sports and life.

In recognition of the teams' hard work, sporting spirit, and commitment, the MLA extended a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each to the TRAU Cricket Team and the TRAU football team, which is set to compete in the prestigious upcoming Durand Cup.

The MLA reiterated his commitment to promoting youth and sports development in the constituency and beyond.

He noted that such achievements are not only individual milestones but collective victories that uplift the entire community and strengthen Manipur's sporting identity at the national level.
