Landen FC advance to Panthoibi Trophy final

Imphal, January 28 2025: Langlen FC (Lamjao) beat Manipur Terriers FC (Malom) on penalties in the first semifinal of the 2nd Ima Panthoibi Trophy 2025, held at Thounaojam playground, Kakching, on Tuesday.

Langlen FC found the breakthrough in 37th minute, with Thoibia finding the net.

Manipur Terriers responded through Dev, who levelled the scoreline in the 40th minute, bringing the game to a 1-1 draw and into a penalty shootout.

In the shootout, Langlen FC held their nerve to pull off a thrilling 7-6 win over their opponents.

Thoiba, Thoithoi, Anouba, Roshan, Kabiraj, Bali and Kishan converted their shots to propel their side to the final, where they will meet either FC Lamjao or MPA-A who will be squaring off in the second semifinal on Wednesday, January 29 at 2 pm .
