KMC, NB College prevail as Inter-college football tournament kicks off

Imphal, October 22 2024: Kha Manipur College and N Bihari College emerged victorious as the A Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Football (M) Tournament 2024-25 kicked off at Kha Manipur College, Kakching on Tuesday.

Hosts Kha Manipur College got their campaign off to a good start with a 3-1 triumph over South East Manipur College.

Shamir opened the scoring for host team in the 13th minute and Tom ba made it 2-0 in the 60th minute.

Thaokung reduced the deficit for South East College in the 67th minute, but Shamir scored his second goal in the 78th minute to put Kha Manipur College back to two-goal lead and secure a 3-1 win.

N Bihari College, meanwhile, came from behind to grind out 2-1 success against Thoubal College.

Yoihenba put Thoubal College in front in the 6th minute.

T Brucelee equalised for NB College in the 46th minute and H Kelvin scored the decider in the 78th minute.
