Imphal FC win as MIUFC, UFA play out draw in U-14 boys' inter club tourney

Imphal, January 07 2023: Imphal Football Club notched up a 3-1 win over Eastern Sporting Union while Mayaang Imphal United FC and Naoton Football Academy shared the spoils on the opening day of the U-14 Boys' Inter Club Football Tournament at Artificial Turf Ground on Saturday.

Imphal FC started off with a 3rd-minute goal from Joypou Riamei and they went further ahead of ESU after Serto Michunga Kom converted in the 35th minute.

Konthoujam Arvan halved the deficit for ESU in the 41st minute but Imphal FC restored their two-goal cushion in the final stretch of the game courtesy of L Gladen (60+3) and went on to seal the 3-1 result.

Earlier, Mayaang Imphal United FC and Naoton Football Academy settled for a 1-1 draw.
