Four teams win in Kakching Subroto football tournament

Imphal, May 22 2025: Martin Grammar School, Green Ground Academy, Eureka Academy and PR English School all prevailed in the U-15 boys' event on the opening day of the Kakching District 64th Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025, which got underway on Wednesday at Lamjao Football Ground.

Martin Grammar School kicked off the fixtures with a commanding 4-0 victory over Kakching Public School, thanks to goals from W Narendra (16'), N Bonison (24'), N Kartex (39'), and M Shahid (49') .

Green Ground Academy narrowly defeated ANK English School 1-0, with A Suraj netting the decisive goal in the 48th minute.

Meanwhile, Eureka Academy dominated with a 5-1 win against Hiyanglam High School.

The scorers were W Opendro (5', 23'), M Achouba (20'), Th Mani (40'), and Th Lamnganba (47') .

K Suraj (32') managed a consolation goal for the losing side.

In the other fixture, Pole Star School edged past Padma Ratna English School with a 1-0 win, as Y Adison's 29th-minute strike proved to be the match-winner.
