OSCAR, YWC script wins in MNCA Plate tourney

Imphal, December 16 2024: OSCAR, Paona Bazar and YWC, Patsoi won by narrow margins against their respective opponents in league matches of the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 on Monday.

At Public Ground, Khangabok Part III Cherapur, OSCAR beat SDC, Laipham Khunou by two wickets, courtesy of four wickets haul and 16 runs by captain Sorokhaibam Samson Singh.

Put to bat, SDC were bundled out for 114 in 25.3 overs with Vinodkumar Singh (20 runs) and N Rajiv (18 runs) being the notable contributors.

OSCAR overhauled the target in 22.4 overs for the loss of eight wickets with Pawankumar Wahengbam (24 runs) topping the score as N Rajiv accounted for three wickets.

Meanwhile, Tongbram Donadoni Singh claimed five RRCC, Churachandpur wickets to help YWC win by eight runs in the day's other match at Lairenjam Public Ground.

YWC scored 148/9 in 30 overs as Thoungamba M contributed 26 runs and Shitaljit Wangkhem 18 runs.

Donadoni proved too hot to handle for RRCC, whose run chase ended at 140 in 29.5 overs, despite semblance of resistance by Louriyam Elan Singh (33 runs) and Bineto (23 runs) .
