AL-AMEEN defeated TCMDC by six wickets in the 3rd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak, on Wednesday.
TCMDC elected to bat first but struggled to build momentum against a sharp AL-AMEEN bowling attack.
They were restricted to 129/8 in 35 overs.
In response, AL-AMEEN (W) reached 130/4 in just 26.3 overs, sealing victory with plenty of overs to spare.
TCMDC's innings was plagued by regular wickets, with only Ningthoisana Thoudam (28 off 43) and Anoubam Inao (20 off 38) offering any real resistance.
The rest of the batting lineup faltered against Sanjida's fiery
spell (4/36 in 7 overs), which included the key dismissals of TCMDC's captain Athokpam Tennish Devi (16) and wicketkeeper Yensembam Nikita Chanu (9).Supporting Sanjida, Linthoi Khulem (3/14 in 7 overs) and Yensembam Nikita Chanu (3/20 in 7 overs) ensured TCMDC never recovered, with extras (35 wides, 5 no-balls) further denting their progress.
AL-AMEEN's reply was anchored by a superb half-century from Farhana (55 off 60 balls, 7 fours).
Despite losing Rabiaa Banu Tampakmayum (13) and Saliha (0) in quick succession, Farhana's steady presence kept the chase on track.
Though Yensembam Nikita Chanu (3/20) struck again to remove Farhana and Sanjida (13), Najiya Begum (2*) and Linthoi Khulem (12') saw AL-AMEEN home comfortably.
