Indian Army organises friendly football match

Imphal, July 06 2024: Indian Army organised a friendly football match between Makhan Youth Club (MYC) and Khunkhu Youth Club (KYC) to promote sports among local youth at Leimakhong.

The match was a thrilling display of sportsmanship between two teams, fostering a sense of community among local youth and interaction with army troops, said a press release from IGAR (S).

Makhan village chief Adin Abonanai, secretary Siniang-bou, Khunkhu Naga village chief ML Sangbonang, secretary Ashange and locals from both villages witnessed the spectacular performance of both teams.

The prize distribution ceremony after the match was attended by village authorities, who appreciated the Army's efforts to promote sports in the area, the release added.
