LHC, YKC, MC, KKC advance to Inter-college men's football quarters

Imphal, October 26 2024: Lilong Haoreibi College, YK College, Mangolnganbi College and Kakching Khunou College all advanced to the quarterfinals of the A Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Football (M) Tournament 2024, following their victories on Saturday at Kha Manipur College, Kakching.

Lilong Haoreibi College hardly broke a sweat as they put eight goals past MB College on their way to the last eight.

Marguf Alam (25, 46, 68) scored a hat-trick, Safiqur (64, 65) netted a double, and Raez Khan (6), Karim (29) and Md Saad (46) contributed one goal each to hand their team a smooth passage to the quarterfinals.

YK College ensured their place in the quarterfinals with a 3-0 rout of Manipur University, with strikes from Kaba (28), Dayasagar (32) and S Tomba (60+1) .

Mangolnganbi College secured a 2-1 win over Imphal College to advance to the last eight.

Kh Suraj (16) and N Dhanaraj (21) scored in their victory, while Chungsorit (53) converted for the losing side.

Kakching Khunou College eased past Saraswati Institute of Management 4-0 in the quarterfinals.

E Birendrakumar (17, 45), H Tombi (12) and H Thoungamba (29) all contributed in their win.
