Hockey: MEIRAA-A, MEIRAA-B seal titles

Imphal, December 21 2024: MEIRAA-A emerged as the men's champions, while MEIRAA-B claimed the women's title in the 4th State Level Men's and Women's Open 6-a-side Hockey Tournament, following their respective victories in the finals on Saturday in Bishnupur.

In the men's final, MEIRAA-A triumphed 4-1 over Hockey Union, with Ronin scoring twice to lead his team to victory.

Ronin opened the scoring in the 3rd minute and extended the lead with a second goal in the 11th minute.

Hockey Union responded in the 17th minute through Nirajkumar, but MEIRAA-A regained control when Momo netted their third goal in the 31st minute.

Bhakar sealed the win shortly thereafter, scoring a fourth goal in the 32nd minute.

In the women's final, MEIRAA-B eased their way to a 3-0 victory over UESPM, with goals from Reenu (23rd minute), Silky (38th minute), and Bidyaluxmi (39th minute) ensuring their dominant performance and eventual title.
