SSU, KCDO cruise in MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, December 19 2024: SSU and KCDO recorded commanding victories in the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25 on Thursday.

SSU thumped SDC by 146 runs in their encounter at Lairenjam Public Ground.

Opting to bat, SSU amassed 245/9.Their total revolved around Anand Mangang's superb knock of 81, supplemented by efforts from Ningombam Sanjoy (32), Shamurailatpam Deepankar Sharma (30), Bindeshwor Sapam (23 not out), Thoudam Rohit (20) and Saikhomba Thongam (19) .

For SDC, Vinodkumar claimed three scalps, while Krishnakanta Ngangkham and N Rajiv took two each.

SSU needed 26.2 overs to dismantle SDC's batting lineup for a mere 99 .

Ningombam Sanjoy emerged as the chief destroyer for SSU, finishing with five wickets.

Bindeshwor Sapam also made his mark with three scalps, while Saikhomba Thongam bagged two wickets, propelling their side to an emphatic win.

Kaleb Singh Kh (21) was the lone performer in SDC's dismal run chase.

KCDO, on the other hand, outclassed SU by 5 wickets at Cherapur.

Batting first, SU were all out for 148 in 29.4 overs.

In the innings, Kennedy Karam (37), Anderson Keisham (29) and Rajkumar Pritamkumar (20) were notable run-getters.

In reply, KCDO achieved the target in 22.4 overs, with notable contributions from Devendro (38), Netajit Konsam (33 not out), Hafiz Imran (23 not out), Bikram Phamdom (18), Md Ajizur Rahman (16) and Banarjee Laikhuram (11) .
