MPSC-A, MPSC-B to meet in Polo final

Imphal, December 17 2021: MPSC-A and MPSC-B won their semi-final matches to set up an all-police-team final in the 1st Imphal West District Polo Tournament 2021 at Awang Potsangbam Khullen Makha Lampak.

The first semifinal saw MPSC-A ride on Y Binoy's four-goal salvo to beat Imphal Riding Club 7-5.In the first chukker, the police riders took a 3-1 lead courtesy of a double from Binoy and a singl e from S Bimol.

N Ranjan was the scorer for Imphal Riding Club.

In the next chukker, MPSC-A added a pair of goals through Bimol and Binoy.

Omesh Gurung scored for Imphal as scoreli ne read 5-2 in favour of the police side.

MPSC, however, were unable to make further inroads in the third period that saw their opponents collect two goals to reduce the deficit to 4-5.In the fourth chukker, MPSC-A got their momentum back with two goals through Bimol and Binoy.

Imphal Riding Club found their fifth goal in the fourth period contest but the two goals by the police team were more than enough to seal the win.

MPSC-B, on the other hand, cruised past KMMRS-A 8-2 on their way to the final.

T Pradip Kumar impressed with his mallet by hammering home four goals for the police team B as 0 Suresh and H Abung Khuman chipped in with a double each.

KMMRS-A scored their two goals through O Roger.
