FC Lamjao, SFC win in Ima Panthoibi Football tourney

Imphal, January 13 2025: FC Lamjao and Sugnu FC registered contrasting wins against their respective opponents in Monday's match of the 2nd Ima Panthoibi Open Football Tournament 2025 at Thounaojam playground, Kakching on Monday.

After a 1-1 stalemate at the end of normal time, FC Lamjao edged out Wangkhem FC 6-5 via the penalty shootout.

Earlier, H Tombi scored for FC Lamjao in the 36th minute with the lead lasting till the 51st miriut e as Wangkhem FC restored parity through Linthoi.

In the shootout, FC Lamjao's H Kumarjit, Avinash, H Tombi, Joychandra and Samir converted from the spot.

Meanwhile, SFC trounced Panthoibi FC, Thounaojam 5-0 with goals from Luhen (22nd), Jack (33rd), Waxson (42nd & 47th) and Brainer (50+2nd) .
