REYS outclass KCC by 87 runs in MNCA Elite Tournament

Imphal, February 06 2025: REYS delivered a commanding 87-run victory over KCC in Thursday's match of the 9th MNCA Elite Tournament at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.

After being put in to bat, REYS posted a competitive total of 216 all out in 40 overs.

KKV Mustaque led the scoring with a well-compiled 52, while Sougrakpam Shangkar contributed a solid 40 .

Additional support came from Nanao Laishram (29*), Dingku G (23), Laishram Daniel Meitei (18), and Basir Rahman (14), ensuring a strong foundation for the innings.

KCC's bowling attack saw Sunil Salam, Wahengbam Somorjit, and Singthoi Nandeibam each claim two wickets, while Tayenjam Tomba and Keisham Basantakumar chipped in with one wicket apiece.

In response, REYS exhibited a disciplined bowling performance, dismissing KCC for 129 in 33.5 overs.

Sougrakpam Shangkar and Kiran Laishram spearheaded the attack with three wickets each, while Ringku Kangujam secured two scalps.

Basir Rahman and Sapam Bikash also contributed, taking one wicket each, sealing an emphatic win for their side.

Despite the challenging chase, KCC's Keisham Mranojit (29) and Nongmaithem Dijaraj (20) put up notable resistance, but their efforts fell short against REYS' clinical bowling display.
