Ukhrul gym shines at 60th Mr Manipur contest

Ukhrul, December 05 2022: Continuing its winning streak, Ukhrul Royal Gymnasium achieved yet another feat at the 60th Mister Manipur 2022 organised by All Manipur Bodybuilders' Association (AMBBA) under the aegis of Indian Bodybuilders' Federation (IBBF) at BOAT, Palace Compound, Imphal on December 3 and 4 .

Four athletes from Ukhrul Royal Gymnasium namely Solimla Jajo, Yuvraj Sonar, KT Themreiyo and Saratlunminthang Touthang secured different titles at the championship.

Solimla Jajo of Kasom Khullen won the overall champion of Miss Manipur Model Physique 2022 in the open category by defeating 15 other best athletes of the state.

In the Mister Manipur 2022 contest, Yuvraj Sonar of Phungreitang, Ukhrul secured the title of best poser.

He also won a gold medal in 65kg senior by defeating 15 other athletes in the contest.

KT Themreiyo of Pushing village got a bronze medal in the junior category of 55kg, while Saratlunminthang Touthang of Moreh secured a bronze medal in the junior category above 75kg.Meanwhile, Robert Leishangthem, proprietor of the gymnasium, expressed his gratitude to team manager Henry Manggoulal Haokip, BBAUD, AMBBA,TDBBA, and all well-wishers including DC Ukhrul Krishna Kumar and Ukhrul MLA Ram Muivah for their support to the team.

Robert also extended his gratitude to all the participants.

Altogether 16 athletes from the gym participated in the event of which 13 were from Ukhrul and three from Moreh.

All of them were trained by him at the gym.
