FC Raengdai outclass VSWA in Shaheed Mainoranjan football tournament

Imphal, February 05 2025: FC Raengdai and VSWA emerged vic tories in Wednesday's fixtures of the 15th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2024-25 at Turf Ground, SAI Sports Complex, Takyel.

FC Raengdai notched up a 3-1 win over WAFA.

After a goalless first half, Sobha broke the deadlock in the 66th minute.

Just two minutes later, Bikramjit extended the lead, but WAFA responded in the 73rd minute through Ronald, reducing the deficit.

However, Giftson restored FC Raengdai's two-goal advantage in the 78th minute, ensuring a decisive victory for FC Raengdai.

VSWA, meanwhile, overcame Asufii FA in a dramatic penalty shootout after regulation time ended in a goalless stalemate.

In the shootout, N Ajitkumar, Chinglen, Indrajit, Jackson, Charles, Birjit and Obedhia converted their shots to secure a 7-6 victory over their opponents.
