A Pratap tourney: KPC, RC, KKC, MC in QFs

Imphal, October 28 2024: KP College, Regional College, Kakching Khunou College and Mangolnganbi College emerged victorious on Monday to reach the quarterfinals of the A Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter-College (M) Football Tournament 2024 held at Kha Manipur College, Kakching.

KPC defeated Moirang College 4-3 via the penalty shootout after a scoreless draw.

Vyas, Vishal, Abungsana and Bunando of KPC slotted past the rival goalkeeper for the slender win and seal their place in the quarterfinals.

In the day's other matches, goals by Sh Rivando (24th) and I Indrajit (68th, 70+2nd) helped RC drub Standard College 3-0 while KKC beat Lilong Haoreibi College 4-3 in another penalty shootout after normal time ended in a 1-1 stalemate, and MC advanced to the last four stage with 2-1 triumph over YK College courtesy of goals from S Shurjit (35+3rd) and own goal by Sithal (76 th) .

YK College's lone goal was scored by Daysagar (50th) .
