U-14 boys' cricket: YWC, KSDO, AKSDO, AMCA have it easy

YWC, KSDO, AKSDO and AMCA enjoyed commanding wins in Tuesday's fixtures of the 4th MNCA Boys U-14 Tournament 2024-25.YWC thrashed PTRC by 202 runs in their league match at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part-IV Electing to bat, YWC posted a competitive total of 290 after being dismissed in 27.2 overs.
In the innings, Daneil Seram top-scored with 144, followed by Seram Tondon-sana who hit 59, with Sayonba and Poreinganba both contributing 22.Bedabiyas Pheiroijam stood out for PTRC by taking five wickets.
YWC then took just 18.5 overs to bowl out PTRC for a mere 88 as Daneil Seram led the attack with 3 scalps, while Kelvinson Khoisam picked up 2 wickets, with Seram Tondonsana, Leishangthem Chinglemba and Sayonba each taking 1 in their massive victory.
KSDO too enjoyed an easy day with a 161-run hammering of TCMDC at Lairenjam Public Ground.
KSDO chose to bat first and scored 222/7 with contributions from Kh Firdos (75), Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan (39), Sheikh Anzar Ahmed (31), Mohammed Soheb (15) and Mohammed Gunbas (14).In reply, TCMDC could only manage 61 after being bundled out in 17.3 overs.
Mohammed Soheb was the chief destroyer for KSDO with 5 wickets, Abu Sufiya claimed 3, and Shadik Israak Hussain and Kh Firdos chipped in with 1 each in their resounding win.
AKSDO, meanwhile, brushed aside PTCC by 98 runs at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).
Batting first, AKSDO set a total of 211/5 as Chingamba Elangbam led the way with 106, followed by Bidyananda Ningthoujam (25 not out), Kh Korounganba (18) and Borish Khudrakpam (17).AKSDO successfully defended their total after bowling out their opponents for 113 in 27.4 overs.
Ushmal Ali, Shailesh Khundrakpam and Punshi-ba Akoijam each snapped 2 wickets, while Chingamba Elangbam and Khundrakpam Boiton took 1 apiece.
In the other match, AMCA beat PCC by 3 wickets.
AMCA dismissed PCC for 94 in 23.1 overs.
Sahid Khu-lakpam w as star performer with the ball, claiming 5 wickets.
In response, they chased down the target in 21.3 overs.
