Handball: Pravabati College clinch men's title as SSGG College claim women's crown

Imphal, October 26 2024: Pravabati College were crowned champions of the Capt Sanoujam Ingo Singh Championship Trophy for Manipur University Inter College Handball (M) Tournament 2024-25, while SSGG College won the Sanoujam Ayekpam Nalini Devi Memorial Championship Trophy for Manipur University Inter College Handball (W) Tournament 2024-25 .

In a thrilling men's final, Pravabati College pulled off a 31-29 victory over Biramangol College.

A Premson and Roshikanta Sharma each scored nine goals for Pravabati, supported by A Tondonba with seven goals, a treble from Yaiphaba, two from Naresh Sharma, and one from Yakhomba.

For Biramangol College, Beckham L led the scoring with nine goals.

Hosts SSGG College (Khurai) dominated Biramangol College in women's summit clash.

Th Jenila was the standout performer, scoring seven goals, while Anjubala and K Sonia each netted four.

H Jenita and I Ronibal contributed two goals apiece, and L Umabati added one for the victory.

For Biramangol, Kh Meloda and A Roshni each scored three goals, with Deepa, Anjali, Chaoba, and Priyangka each contributing one goal.
