State archers strike three gold medals at NTPC national event

Manipur enjoyed a productive day on Thursday, securing three gold medals, coupled with one silver and one bronze, at the 31st NTPC Senior Indian Round, 44th NTPC Senior Recurve and 20th NTPC Senior Compound National (M&W) Archery Championship in Jamshedpur.
The standout contributors to this success were Leitanthem Shilheiba Singh, Moirangthem Baby Devi, and L Rozina Devi, who excelled in their respective categories in the Indian Round com petition.
Leitanthem Shilheiba clinched the gold medal with a commanding 6-2 victory over his opponent from AIPCB in the final.
Moirangthem Baby Devi also displayed exceptional skill, overcoming her Maharashtra opponent to claim the top position on the podium.
L Rozina Devi further contributed to the state's medal tally with two medals - gold in the 50m event and bronze in the 30m event, showcasing her versatility and consistency.
Adding to the state's accolades, the Indian Round mixed team of L Rozina and L Silheiba secured a silver medal after an intense final against Maharashtra.
Despite their efforts, they narrowly missed out on gold.
