Imphal, April 12 2025: Manipur swept the board across all six events in Thang-Ta at the 68th National School Games Championships 2024-25, finishing their campaign with a staggering haul of 40 gold medals.

The state's young Thang-Ta athletes dominated every category - U-14 boys & girls, U-14 boys, U-14 girls, U-19 boys & girls, U-19 boys, and U-19 girls - emerging as the overall team champions.

In addition to their 40 gold medals, Manipur added five silver and two bronze to their tally.

In the U-14 boys & girls category, the team collected 11 gold and one silver medal.

The U-14 boys secured six gold medals, while the U-14 girls added five gold and one silver to the tally.

The U-19 boys & girls group wrapped up their campaign with nine gold and one bronze, the U-19 boys contributed four gold and one bronze, and the U-19 girls capped the performance with five gold medals.

On the sixth and final day (Saturday), Manipur's gold medallists cemented their supremacy, with standout performances from Luwang Chanu Linthoi, Wahengbam Henthoi, and Heisnam Ramba Devi (each winning two golds), along with Monika Thangjam, Laishram Minarava, Phamdom Sweety, Wahengbam Alona Devi, Moirangthem Chanchan Chanu, Khaidem Bemiya Chanu, Heigrujam Yaiphabi Devi, Konjengbam Yaiphaba Singh, Khundongbam Tompok Singh, Nongmaithem Bikash Singh, Thingujam Mangal, Irungbam Bomson, Chanamthabam Poireiton, Loitongbam Athoiba, Nongthombam Urejis, Thokchom Mahesh Singh, and Elangbam Jetly Singh.
