YPHU, MPSC cruise in State League

YPHU and MPSC enjoyed comfortable wins in the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, on Saturday.
Thongam Priyaball starred with a brace as YPHU swept aside Elite FA 4-0 in a match that saw them take complete control after a goalless first half.
Priyaball broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, sparking a second-half goal rush.
He doubled his tally just seven minutes later with a clinical finish, before Irengbam Indrajit extended the lead in the 69th minute.
Konsam Rohit then put the result beyond doubt with YPHU's fourth in the 72nd minute, sealing a comprehensive victory.
Meanwhile, MPSC cruised to a 4-1 win over TRAU, with Elangbam Birendrakumar netting twice in a commanding display.
Khem Bahadur gave MPSC an early lead in the 6th minute, but TRAU responded swiftly as Phijam Shrinivash levelled just two minutes later.
Birendrakumar restored MPSC's advantage in the 9th minute before adding a second in the 25th, ensuring his side entered half-time with a comfortable 3-1 cushion.
After the break, MPSC maintained their dominance, with Thangjam Kiran rounding off the scoring in the 83rd minute to cap off a convincing performance.
