Alva nets brace to help YWC beat MUFA in Women's League

Imphal, June 28 2025: Senjam Alva Devi scored twice to lead Youth Welfare Club (YWC) to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Manipur United FA in the 15th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2024-25 at the Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, on Saturday.

After an evenly contested first half, Alva broke the deadlock for YWC in the 43rd minute with a well-taken strike.

Manipur United FA responded strongly after the break, with Malemnganbi Naorem levelling the score in the 51st minute.

However, Alva proved decisive once again, restoring YWC's lead in the 62nd minute and sealing all three points for her side.
