Six state boxers in semis of junior nationals

Imphal, June 23 2025:
Three boys and same number of girls of Manipur stormed into the semi-finals of the 6th Junior Boys' and Girls' National Boxing Championship 2025 underway in Rohtak, Haryana.
Among the boys, Ambekar Meetei Leiranlakpa (48 kg), Lanchenba Singh (50 kg) and Mahesh Singh Leimapokpam (70 kg) defeated their respective quarterfinal opponents on Monday.
Ambekar beat Vivek Kesarwani of Uttar Pradesh, Lanchenba defeated Sagar Rai of Arunachal Pradesh 4:1 and Mahesh beat Devendra Singh Yadav of UP .

On the other hand, Karung Albertson Kom (57 kg) lost to Isak Lallawmkima of Mizoram 2:3 and Lancheba Meitei Khundon (63 kg) suffered 0:5 loss to Aman Siwach of SSCB.
Meanwhile, Riya Heikham (50 kg), Radhamani Longjam (57 kg) and Diana Devi Thoudam (63 kg) respectively defeated Ayushi Dubey of Jharkhand, Pooja Channe of Maharashtra and Shanaya Yadav of Maharashtra to seal their semifinal berths as Lamaeilu Gangmei bowed out with loss to Jiya of Haryana.
