RK Herojit clinches two gold medals at National Para Swimming Championship

Imphal, October 22 2024:
Squadron leader Rajkumar Herojit made a significant impact at the 24th National Para Swimming Championship in Panjim, Goa, from October 19 to 22 .
He captured attention by clinching two gold medals and one silver medal.
Competing against top para-athletes from across India, Herojit demonstrated exceptional prowess, earning gold in both the men's 100-meter breaststroke SB4 and 50-m.eter breaststroke SB4 events, along with a silver in the 200-meter individual medley SM5.With only three individual events allowed per athlete, Herojit secured medals in all his three events.
Currently serving with the Indian Air Force, he dedicated his victory to the IAF, the Services team, his coaches, family, and the people of Manipur.
Notably, Herojit had pre viously represented India at the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, from October 22 to 28, 2023, where he was honoured with a symbolic cheque at the 2024 Sanaroishingee Numit (Players' Day) .
