MBA names final state squad for Jr Basketball Nationals

Imphal, August 17 2025: The Manipur Basketball Association has announced the final list of players selected to represent the state at the 75th Junior National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held in Ludhiana, Punjab, from September 2 to 9, 2025 .

According to the association, a total of 12 players have been picked following recommendations from the selection committee.

The squad includes Achom Prince Singh (CYLC), Leishemba Laipakpam (CYLC), Leishemba Leishangthem (CYLC), Sarungbam Athouba (CYLC), Yurembam Benjamin (Youth Club), Taibangamba Yurembam (Youth Club), Samson Athokpam (YOSC), Ningombam Ronald (YOSC), Dhanraj Irengbam (LMYVA), Heisman Rahul Singh (Model Club), Moirangthem Suryajeet (BDBA, Moirang) and Phairembam Inungan ba (BDBA) .

The players have been directed to report to the coaching staff comprising T Nilamani Singh (head coach), Y Mahendra Kapoor (assistant head coach), N Jackson Singh (coach), Borish Achom (coach), and Ch Ketanji Singh (coach) .

Training sessions are scheduled to begin at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court from August 18, 2025, with daily practice to be held at 6:30 am and 3:30 pm.

The state team is set to depart Imphal for Ludhiana on August 29, 2025 .
