SAI-NERC Imphal joins Fit India School Week Initiative

Imphal, December 16 2024: Sports Authority of India, North East Regional Center (SAI-NERC), Imphal has kickstarted its "Fit India School Week Initiative" from December 11 onwards.

The first phase of the campaign was held from December 11 to 14 at Sainik School, Pangei, Imphal East in line with the 48th Athletic Meet of Sainik School Imphal.

Notably, the campaign perceived in 2019 encourages school fraternities across the country to celebrate 4 to 6 days in a week of their annual calendar to promote healthy and active lifestyle by indulging in various activities such as debates, quiz, essay writing, poster making competition etc.

Maibam Ramani Chanu, Centre In-charge, STC Imphal not only attended the inaugural programme of the meet held at Sainik School Imphal but also sponsored the medals and certificates as a part of the campaign, said SAI NERC Imphal in a statement.

The campaign will be continued till December 25 at various schools/ colleges/universities by organising different sporting events, fun games, fitness assessment camps, indigenous games, pledge taking etc, it continued.
