MBA to conduct basketball selection trial on June 14

Imphal, June 11 2024: Manipur Basketball Association (MBA) on Tuesday informed affiliated clubs and district basketball associations that the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) would hold a talent scouting programme for under 14 year-old boys and girls from the North East states on June 22 and 23, 2024, at Guwahati (Assam) .

The BFI will cover travel expenses, including boarding and accommodation.

Selected players will be enrolled to the National Basketball Academy, where they would receive free good education and instruction from a foreign coach.

In this regard, t he state trial will be held on June 14, 2024, at 6.30 am at the Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court to pick five boys and girls.

Players should report to T Brajabidhu Singh, vice-president MBA, on the specified date and time, together with their kits, birth certificates issued by the Municipal Corpora-tion/Registrar of Birth and Death, and Aadhaar cards, the MBA further informed.
