Imphal, July 07 2024: Indian Army organised a friendly football match between Makhan Youth Club (MYC) and Khunkhu Youth Club (KYC) at Leimakhong to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork among the young players.

The match showcased sportsmanship and community engagement, allowing local youth to interact with Army soldiers, said a press release from the Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.

Makhan village chief Adin Abonanai, secretary Siniangbou, Khunkhu Naga village chief ML Sangbonang, secretary Ashange and locals from both villages witnessed the entertaining match.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by village authorities who appreciated the Army's efforts to promote sports in the area, the release added.
