KMAC reign supreme in Indian Round team events

Imphal, September 29 2026: KMAC won both the men and women's Indian Round team event titles on Day 2 of the 36th Senior State Archery Championships being underway at RCC ground, Khuman Lampak.

In the men's competition, KMAC team comprising Moirangthem Bikash, Yumnam Jackson, Ch Bison and Ch Nelson got the better of the LMLCC team featuring H Hemjit, Shilheiba Leitanthem, S Jenibash and Yumnam Bishan 4(29)- 4(29) in a closely contested final shoot-out that went into tie-breaker.

SICA team finished third in this event.

KMAC's L Rojina, Elangbam Lucky, Th Millenia and Tonjam Kelvina meanwhile prevailed 6-2 over MPSC team of B Lucy, K Manavidya, H Rajpriyari and K Pravahini to go for the gold as SICA team settled for the third spot.

BCAC's S Lingjelthoibi and Md Amir Arshad Khan meanwhile sealed the Indian Round mixed team title with a brilliant 5-1 beating of L Rojina and M Bikash of KMAC as FAC team finished third.

SAC's Manglemsana shines in Compound events

The second day also saw Kshetrimayum Manglemsana of SAC securing titles in both the individual and 50mx50m Compound events and a silver medal in the mixed team event.

Manglemsana scored 144 points for the individual gold followed by MPSC's P Lily on 143 points.

BAA's Senyai Thongam was third in the event.

Laishram Yohenba of ARAC meanwhile won the men's individual Compound event gold with the best shot of 145 points as Ngasepam Nabadwip of UAC (144 pts) finished second.

K Punanda Sharma of AAA was third in this event.

In the women's 50mx50m Compound event, Manglemsana shot 694 points for the top position as SAI-RC's Shambanduram Manorama managed 688 points and P Lily registered 676 points to make the 2-3 podium finishes.

In the men's 50mx50m Compound competition, SAI-RC's Ramakanta and Huidrom Biken Singh made 1-2 podium finishes in a close contest that ended with scores tied at 698 before a tie-breaker settled the winner.

K Punanda of AAA was third in this event.

SAI-RC team of Ramakanta Shanglakpam, Huidrom Biken, Yenshembam Rojit, and Leihao Mathew also won a gold medal in the men's team event beat SAC team of Sorokhaibam Johnson, Pari Nongthombam, Elangbam Lamnganba and Takhellambam Ranel 233 (30)- 233 (29) in a closely fought final.

UAC team were third in the men's Compound team event.

SAI-RC's pair of Shambanduram Manorama and Shanglakpam Ramakanta also topped the mixed team Compound event beating SAC's team of Ksh Manglemsana and S Johnson 148-147.ARAC's pair of L Dulina and L Yohenba finished third in this competition.
