4th State Level CP Sports Meet held

Imphal, August 29 2026:
The 4th State Level CP Sports Meet 2026 was held today at SAI NERC Campus, Imphal, organised by Spastic Society of Manipur (SSM), affiliated to Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of India (CPSFI), in association with SAI NERC, Imphal.
Nearly 50 athletes with Cerebral Palsy participated with enthusiasm.
The meet featured track and field events including 100m, 200m, 4km race, shot put, long jump, club throw and discus throw.
An exhibition 7-a-side CP Football match was also organised.
The programme was graced by State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities W Birahari Singh, Regional Director SAI NERC C Dhandapani, Assistant Director L Smritya Singh and Secretary SSM L Ricky.
Speaking on the occasion, L Ricky said CP Sports Meet is a platform to discover abilities, build confidence and create opportunities, and stressed building grassroots movement and pathway to national and international competitions.
He also urged inclusion of disability sports in the Sports Policy of Manipur and thanked stakeholders.
Dignitaries stressed inclusive sports, accessible facilities and regular competitions.
